Carite Auto Repairs is an independent mechanic workshop in Warana on the Sunshine Coast. We look after everything from family cars and work utes to 4x4s and weekend toys – and we’re building a team of people who actually care about doing the job properly.

Senior / Lead Mechanic – pathway to Workshop Lead

Location: Warana, Sunshine Coast QLD
Type: Full time
Pay: Above award, based on qualifications and experience. Negotiable up to around $100k+ package for the right person (including super).

We’re looking for a qualified light vehicle mechanic on the Sunshine Coast who is already the “go-to” person on tough jobs and wants a clear pathway into a workshop lead role.

Highlights:

• Full-time mechanic job in Warana, Sunshine Coast, in a modern, well-equipped workshop
• Above-award pay, negotiable up to around $100k+ package for the right candidate
• Mix of general vehicle servicing and repairs plus room to build your own specialty or obsession (4x4, touring, performance, diagnostics, classics, engines, etc.)
• Chance to help plan the day, mentor apprentices and overseas techs and set standards for quality and safety

Trade Assistant → Apprentice Mechanic Pathway

Location: Warana, Sunshine Coast QLD
Type: Full time
Licence: Manual driver’s licence required

We’re offering a Trade Assistant role with a clear plan to move into an apprentice mechanic position if it’s a good fit both ways.

This is a great entry point if you’re on the Sunshine Coast, have a manual licence, love cars or 4x4s and want a real shot at a light vehicle mechanic apprenticeship.

Highlights:

• Start as a Trade Assistant in our Warana workshop for around three months
• Hands-on from day one: cleaning customer vehicles, restocking mechanic bays, moving cars in and out, helping with basic tasks
• If it’s a fit: move into a 1st Year Apprentice Mechanic role with a structured training plan
• Clear path: TA → Apprentice Year 1–4 → Level 6 Technician, with options to explore specialties like 4x4, performance, diagnostics and more
